Make a habit of setting aside time for prayer and meditation.  Your rewards will be great.  Lord, thank you for the peace, humility, joy and self-worth with which you bless me.

Rocking for God may not be as fast paced as the secular world but it last longer. Remember only what you do for God will last. Lord give me the patience to wait on you when others seem to be prospering and I am not. God is worth the wait stay on the straight and narrow. HARDER=BETTER IN THE END

Daily Words of Hope

You’ve made it half way through the week and you have already broken some of the promises that you made to  yourself and God. Instead of having a pity party. Look at the situations and circumstances that lead you to fall short. After you have evaluated your shortcomings, ask God to fill the Gap between where you are now and where you wish to be. One Final Thing no MATTER what KEEP PUSHING.

Lord Give Me the Strength to Finish Strong!

Don’t give up because your best has not yet been achieved.  Lord, take away my doubts and give me courage to accept my opportunities.

Daily Words of Hope

First Corinthians Chapter 13 talks about love in a very descriptive manner, the apostle Paul characterizes love in many ways, patient, kind, long suffering, nonjudgmental, but even the apostle Paul was unable to define love with one word. But let’s say that we know that love at its minimum is patient, kind and nonjudgmental.

From the children’s hymn we know that Jesus loves us but we often view God as this mean person judging us from afar, who uses every opportunity to scold us, but if God loves us, then we should find peace knowing that God is patient, kind and long suffering.

Sometimes it is hard for us to think of God as loving because we encounter people in our lives that represent everything but a loving spirit, but we should not let these people dictate our views of God, self and humanity.

God’s love for us is patient kind and long suffering, simply God will stick with you even when you feel Unlovable. God’s patient Love shouldn’t be an excuse to live lives that’s hurt others and ourselves. Be wise don’t take advantage of God’s love. We shouldn’t live good lives, because of fear only. Yes, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom but not the end.

As Paul stated the greatest of all is Love. Live right because you Love God, yourself and others. Push forward regardless of your mistakes because you understand that God’s love is patient and one mistake wouldn’t cause God to give up on you.

The Takeaway
Love is Powerful; use its power to live a better life.

Daily Words of Hope

Trust in Him who will not leave you
Whatsoever years may bring
If by earthly friends forsaken
Still more closely to him cling
But you’ve got to hold

As the timeless words of the hymn “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand” assures us that we have a friend that will be there with us at all times. We only have one responsibility, “HOLD ON”. Lord give me the strength hold on to your unchanging hand’s even when letting go seems easier. (Min Mike)

Daily Words of Hope

I was reading one of my favorite books of the Bible as it pertains to being a leader, the Book of James and found a passage of scripture that speaks for itself. We often hear or talk about the importance of forgiveness, but the act of forgiving is powerful to save a life. It transforms the forgiver and the forgiven.

Take Away

Forgiveness is never easy, but it offers freedom from the bondage of hurt, guilt, regret and anger. Forgiveness allows our heart more room to love!!!. Jesus forgave those that persecuted him and saved millions. Choose to forgive someone and possibly save a life.

Scripture

James 3: 13-18

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
